Telugu cinema icon Nandamuri Balakrishna has reunited with director Boyapati Sreenu for the highly anticipated Akhanda 2: Thaandavam. Marking his birthday on June 10, Balakrishna unveiled the first teaser, igniting excitement among fans. Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner and presented by M Tejeswini Nandamuri, the film promises a larger-than-life action saga infused with mythological symbolism.

The teaser introduces Balakrishna in a commanding new avatar, wielding a trishul amidst snow-capped peaks reminiscent of Mount Kailash. He takes on a group of thugs with high-octane action, tossing gunmen into the air with ease, blending spiritual essence with the stylized action that defined the 2021 blockbuster Akhanda. The film, featuring Samyuktha and Aadhi Pinisetty, is set to deliver a seamless mix of mass appeal and intense drama.

Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, Akhanda 2 boasts action sequences choreographed by Ram-Lakshman, music by Thaman S, cinematography by C Ramprasad and Santoshh D Detake, and editing by Tammiraju. Currently in production, the film is filming key sequences, including a major portion in Georgia and a pivotal action scene, with a release slated for September 25, 2025. It will face a box-office clash with Pawan Kalyan’s OG, marking Emraan Hashmi’s Telugu debut.
