SpaceX Starlink 12-24 Launch: Falcon 9 to Deploy 23 Satellites from Cape Canaveral
SpaceX Set to Launch Starlink 12-24 Mission with Falcon 9 from Cape Canaveral
SpaceX is gearing up for its Starlink 12-24 mission, scheduled to launch a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 23 Starlink V2 Mini satellites into low Earth orbit on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 9:05 a.m. EDT (1305 UTC) from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Spaceflight Now will provide live coverage starting approximately one hour before liftoff.
The 45th Weather Squadron forecasted a 95 percent chance of favorable weather at the start of the four-hour launch window, though conditions may decline to 70 percent favorability later. “Shower chances are low in the morning but will increase in the early afternoon with daily heating and the sea breeze development,” noted launch weather officers, adding that locally developing showers could occur toward the end of the window.
The mission will utilize Falcon 9 first stage booster B1083, marking its 12th flight. This booster previously supported NASA’s Crew-8, Polaris Dawn, and Intuitive Machines’ second Nova-C lander missions. Approximately eight minutes after liftoff, B1083 is set to land on the droneship Just Read the Instructions, aiming for the 124th booster landing on this vessel and SpaceX’s 460th overall.
Of the 23 Starlink V2 Mini satellites onboard, 13 feature direct-to-cell capabilities, contributing to the 260 DTC-capable satellites SpaceX has launched in 2025. The mission underscores SpaceX’s ongoing efforts to expand its Starlink constellation, enhancing global internet connectivity.
