Former India cricket captain MS Dhoni has been inducted into the prestigious ICC Cricket Hall of Fame, a fitting tribute to his extraordinary 16-year career. Dhoni, a legendary wicketkeeper-batsman, amassed 17,266 international runs, effected 829 dismissals, and played 538 matches across formats for India. His revolutionary playing style, tactical leadership, and unmatched achievements—including winning all three ICC men's white-ball titles as captain—have cemented his legacy as one of cricket’s all-time greats.

"It is an honour to be named in the ICC Hall of Fame, which recognises the contributions of cricketers across generations and from all over the world," Dhoni said. "To have your name remembered alongside such all-time greats is a wonderful feeling. It is something that I will cherish forever."

Dhoni’s journey began in 2004 with his ODI debut, where he was dismissed for a duck. Undeterred, he announced his arrival in style with a blistering 148 off 123 balls against Pakistan in Visakhapatnam in April 2005. He followed this with an unbeaten 183 against Sri Lanka in Jaipur, an innings featuring 15 fours and 10 sixes. This remains the highest individual score by a wicketkeeper in men's ODIs and was, at the time, the highest score in a successful run chase.
